A special two-day workshop for school leaders and teachers began today at Imaduddin School, focusing on creating a tobacco and nicotine-free educational environment.
The event was officially opened by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, State Minister of Education, with 90 staff members from various schools participating.
The workshop, led by Christina Chin and Professor Dr. Anne Yee from the University of Malaya, aims to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco and nicotine, while equipping educators with skills to promote health-conscious decision-making among students.
Sessions will cover tobacco control, advocacy, and communication strategies, along with practical resources for supporting youth health and well-being.
